In the absence of the rested players, the experienced wicketkeeper-batsman Matthew Wade will captain the team.
Andrew McDonald, taking a proactive approach, is not only providing Borovec with an opportunity but is also utilizing this time for his personal break before the Test summer, commencing against Pakistan in Perth on December 14.

To fortify the coaching staff, Lachlan Stevens, a former coach for Western Australia and Victoria and the current head of development at Cricket Australia, will accompany Borovec during the T20I series in India.
